Protecting Arab American rights and defending civil liberties across America since 1980
For more than 45 years, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) has been the nation’s largest Arab American legal and grassroots organization, defending civil rights, equality, and justice for Arab Americans and all Americans.
ADC stands at the forefront of some of the most consequential civil liberties fights in the country, defending constitutional rights, challenging discrimination and government overreach, and protecting the freedoms that are fundamental to American democracy.
Our strength comes from our members. ADC’s national leadership is elected by its membership, ensuring that our community has a direct voice in the organization and its future.

Protect our rights
ADC takes on powerful institutions and interests that threaten Americans’ constitutional rights and civil liberties. Through impact litigation and legal advocacy, we challenge government overreach, defend freedom of speech and dissent, and protect the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
Our legal work increasingly confronts efforts by pro-Israel lobby groups and government actors to restrict speech, protest, academic freedom, and other protected activity related to Israel and Palestine.
Advocate for our community
ADC works at the federal, state, and local levels to ensure Arab Americans have a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect our communities and our country.
Our advocacy includes opposition to unconditional military aid to Israel and other governments involved in armed conflict, challenges to legislation that expands surveillance or restricts protected speech, and engagement with policymakers to promote fair, transparent, and accountable institutions.
Challenge discrimination, stereotypes, and misinformation
ADC works with national and international media to challenge discrimination, defamation, stereotypes, and misinformation while ensuring Arab American perspectives are represented in public debate.
We track media coverage that scapegoats Arab communities, challenge narratives that marginalize or dehumanize them, and push for journalism that subjects war, foreign policy, civil liberties, and human rights to meaningful scrutiny.

How you can help
Join ADC. Get involved. Strengthen our community.
Membership money funds the day-to-day running of the organization, and because it comes from members rather than from any single outside funder, it is not tied to one project or one priority.
Your membership strengthens ADC’s ability to defend our rights, challenge discrimination, and ensure Arab Americans have a powerful, independent national organization representing our community.
Whether through civic engagement, education, community organizing, media, advocacy, or leadership, your participation strengthens our collective voice.
At a moment when our rights and freedoms face growing challenges, our community needs a strong, united, and independent voice. ADC is that voice. Its strength begins with its members.
