TICKETS ON SALE NOW For ADC’s Biggest Event of the Season Turaath: Arab Music from Baghdad to Andalusia
The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is excited to present our fourth annual cultural event entitled, “Turaath: Arab Music from Baghdad to Andalusia,” at Lincoln Theatre on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 8:00 pm. This year’s event will celebrate the intersections of Arab and Spanish culture, featuring the legendary oud and violin composer Simon Shaheen and his Qantara ensemble, and renowned Tunisian malouf singer Sonia M’barek.
They will be joined by performers Juan Perez Rodriguez and Auxi Fernandez of Spain, vocalist Elizabeth Ayoub, Bassam Saba on the flute, Najib Shaheen on the oud, Peter slavov on the bass, Ali Amr on the qanun, Layth Al Rubaye on the violin, Naseem Al Atrash on the cello, and Tareq Rantisi and Dafer Tawil on percussion.
