Join ADC’s Campaign to Remove Kirsanow from Civil Rights Commission

ACTION REQUESTED:
Please join ADC and the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights (LCCR) in asking President Bush to remove Peter Kirsanow, who he recently appointed, from his position as a Commissioner with the U.S. Civil Rights Commission. On July 19, Kirsanow raised the possibility of internment camps for the mass detention of Arab Americans at a Commission hearing in Detroit. ADC urges all its members and supporters in joining us in asking President Bush to acknowledge that no one with such views has any place on the U.S. Civil Rights Commission and that he remove Mr. Kirsanow from the USCCR at once. Please note that ADC has the highest regard for the Commission and most of the commissioners, and looks forward to maintaining a constructive dialogue with the Commission. You can use ADC’s press release below as a source and model for these communications, but original letters always carry more weight. Please cc your emails to adc@adc.org.
