ADC is proud to announce that the recipient of the ADC 2016 Attorney of the Year Award will be presented to Ms. Lana Kreidie. The award will be presented to Ms. Kreidie at the ADC Civil Rights Luncheon, as part of the ADC National Convention. Ms. Kreidie served as a Deputy Public Defender for 11 years in Riverside County, CA, and has dedicated her career to defending children and adults in the criminal justice system.

Ms. Kreidie graduated from UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, and began a career in public defense. She has built a reputation as a fearless litigator and trial attorney, climbing the ladder from Deputy Public Defender I in 2005 to Deputy Public Defender IV by 2010.
Ms. Kreidie served as President of the Orange County Chapter of ADC from 2014 -2016. During her term, she led the effort to grow the Orange County Chapter of the ADC. Along with an accomplished team, they focused on continuing the legacy and pursuit of justice for Alex Odeh. Leading up to the 30th year since this bombing occurred on our soil, Lana and the OC team worked with the ADC national office to generate media coverage of the unsolved case; she appeared for television, radio, and news print media interviews to push for justice not only on behalf of all Americans but also for the direct victims, ADC and the Odeh family. The efforts of the OC Chapter under Lana’s leadership generated continued law enforcement and Congressional attention to this unsolved case.11
Ms. Kreidie recently relocated to the Bay Area with her husband Ahmed Khatib and their two children where she plans to continue her professional career as a litigator and to serve our country and community in pursuit of justice for all.
