ADC National Board of Directors — Call for Nominations

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is seeking nominations for four (4) positions on the ADC National Board of Directors in the upcoming election.

We encourage members who are passionate about ADC’s mission and can help strengthen our grassroots presence, grow our membership, build support, raise funds, and expand the organization to consider nominating themselves or someone they believe would be a strong candidate.

Board members are elected to three-year terms. Terms are staggered so that no more than one-third (1/3) of the Board is up for election in any given year.

Nomination Criteria

Candidates should:

  • Be an ADC member in good standing with current dues for three (3) years.
  • Support and be committed to ADC’s mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Bring experience or knowledge in fundraising, nonprofit management, community organizing, or related areas.
  • Be prepared to give or raise at least $25,000 annually for ADC.
  • Have the endorsement of their local ADC chapter, where one exists, or at least two ADC members in good standing.

How to Nominate a Candidate

If you would like to nominate yourself or another ADC member, please submit the following to the ADC Nominating Committee:

  • A brief statement (one page or less) explaining why you believe the nominee would be a strong addition to the Board.
  • The nominee’s biography and résumé.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • The nominee’s name, address, and telephone number.
  • The names, addresses, and telephone numbers of at least two additional ADC members in good standing who support the nomination.
  • A signed statement from the nominee confirming their willingness to serve if elected and sharing their vision for the future of ADC.

All nominations must be received by the ADC National Office no later than September 21, 2026.

The Nominating Committee will review all nominations to ensure that candidates meet the requirements and are committed to advancing ADC’s mission.

As ADC looks to grow and strengthen its national presence, Board members have an important role to play—not only in providing leadership and guidance, but also in helping build the membership, community support, and financial resources needed to move the organization forward.

We are looking for Board members who are ready to be actively engaged, bring new ideas and energy, and help ADC build an even stronger future.
