From Dr. Safa Rifka, ADC Chairman: A Christmas and Holiday Message of Reflection, Strength, Hope, and Justice

Dear ADC Family,

As we gather with loved ones to celebrate the Christmas And Holiday season, we do so with hearts that are both heavy and hopeful. This past year has brought challenges that have tested us deeply—the heartbreak of loss, the pain of injustice, and the devastating realities of violence and genocide in Palestine, and wars in Lebanon, Syria, Libya and Yemen. Here at home , our community has faced growing waves of discrimination, threats to our civil rights, and the persistent need to advocate for justice and equality at home. Yet, even in the face of these trials, we have witnessed the unshakable strength of our community and the power of unity in action.

When I joined ADC decades ago, it was out of a profound belief that our voices could make a difference—that by coming together, we could advocate for justice, protect our rights, and bring hope to those most in need. That belief remains steadfast today, reinforced by the incredible work we accomplish together.

This year, I have been inspired by the resilience and determination of our members. Whether through your advocacy, your generosity, or your commitment to standing with ADC, you have shown the strength of our shared mission. ADC is not just an organization—it is a family, a community, and a movement that uplifts and empowers.

Despite the immense challenges we face, we must also celebrate the progress we have made. Together, we have amplified voices that might have otherwise gone unheard, stood against discrimination and oppression, and brought light to issues that demand global attention. In these actions, there is hope—a hope that reminds us of the change we are capable of creating.

As we reflect on the past year, let us also look forward with renewed resolve. Let this Christmas season be a time of healing and gratitude, a time to cherish the bonds that connect us, and a time to recommit ourselves to the pursuit of justice, equality, and peace.

I am profoundly grateful for each of you, for your unwavering support, and for the trust you place in ADC to represent and advocate for our community. Together, we will continue to build a brighter future, guided by the values of compassion, dignity, and solidarity that this season reminds us to cherish.

May this Christmas bring you and your loved ones peace, joy, and hope for the year to come. Thank you for being an essential part of the ADC family.

With heartfelt gratitude and warm wishes,

Dr. Safa Rifka
Chairman, American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC)
