Congress Must Reject Operation Epic Fury and Stop War With Iran

Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) is advancing his War Powers Resolution in the Senate to prevent further unauthorized military action. Every Senator must now go on record on whether they support bypassing Congress and putting American lives—and the country’s interests—at risk.
Alongside Democratic leadership and ranking members, Representatives Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) are forcing a vote on their bipartisan War Powers Resolution in the House in direct response to these strikes. They emphasize Congress must reassert its constitutional authority over war powers and prevent further escalation that could embroil the U.S. in a prolonged conflict with devastating consequences.
These resolutions would legally require the President to seek Congressional approval before using military force against Iran, protecting the American people, while preventing reckless escalation abroad.

Military campaigns like Epic Fury are routinely used to justify expanded surveillance, censorship, political blacklists, attacks on protest, and “security” measures that erode due process and fundamental freedoms. ADC will oppose any attempt to use this war to justify domestic crackdowns, political intimidation, or the targeting of Arab, Muslim, Middle Eastern, Iranian, and South Asian communities—or anyone who speaks out.
