The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) calls on all community members to take immediate action against the Arab and Muslim Ban 2.0. The administration’s attempt to tailor the Executive Order (EO) signed on March 6, 2017 to court rulings does not change the fact that this is still an Arab and Muslim Ban. It is imperative you contact your elected officials to oppose the new Ban. This Ban is rooted in discriminatory intent.

Despite a few changes, the Arab and Muslim Ban 2.0:
- Applies to six Arab and Muslim-majority countries. The Muslim Ban 2.0 will prohibit visa issuance to foreign nationals from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. No evidence exists that any citizen from any of the 6 nations has committed a terrorist act in the United States.
- Bars all refugees for 120-days. The Ban will turn America’s back on the most vulnerable refugees in the world who are fleeing violence. Barring entry of refugees directly contradicts American values and undermines American leadership on the world stage.
- Singles out Arabs and Muslims as a safety risk to Americans. Under the guise of national security, the Muslim Ban 2.0 continues scapegoat immigrants from six Arab and Muslim-majority countries. However, the Ban actually makes us less safe because it provides ammunition to our nation’s enemies and feeds into the West versus Arab and Islam narrative.
