Take Action: AB 715 Threatens Ethnic Studies in California
This Wednesday, May 14, the California State Legislature will vote on AB 715, a bill introduced by Senator Scott Wiener (D-SF) and Assemblymembers Jesse Gabriel (D-SFV), Rich Chavez-Zbur (D-Santa Monica), and Dawn Addis (D-Morro Bay). Despite its claims, this bill is a dangerous attempt to stifle open, honest education about Israel and Palestine.
AB 101 and existing laws already protect students from discrimination. We don’t need more bureaucracy—especially not to protect Israel’s image at the expense of educational freedom and marginalized voices.
Tell your legislators: Stop AB 715. Fund Ethnic Studies. Oppose censorship.
