The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) supports efforts to enhance our nation‘s security but remains committed to ensuring that our civil rights are not violated in the process. ADC also believes that no form of racial profiling is ever acceptable or effective. Furthermore, there is no place in the American legal system for secret detentions, evidence, hearings or deportations, or for indefinite detention without due process which continues to be used mainly against persons of Arab ethnicity and or Muslim affiliation. The pattern of profiling and targeting the community is of deep concern to ADC and we will continue to monitor the situation.
ADC was founded in 1980 and is an Arab-American grassroots civil rights organization. ADC, which in non-sectarian and non-partisan, serves its nationwide membership through direct advocacy.
