Anaheim, CA | The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) will host the 2025 Alex Odeh Memorial Banquet on Saturday, October 11, in Anaheim to honor the life and legacy of Alexander Michel Odeh, ADC’s West Coast Regional Director assassinated in 1985. Four decades later, the Alex Odeh Memorial Banquet remains a national gathering to honor advocates who carry forward Alex’s commitment to justice, dignity, and peace.

This year’s program features remarks from former U.S. Representative Cori Bush, Professor Khaled A. Beydoun, and Michigan State Representative Alabas Farhat, alongside ADC leadership, community leaders, and members of the Odeh family.

“Alex embodied the highest ideals of justice, peace, and the fight for truth,” said Abed  Ayoub, ADC National Executive Director. “His assassination was part of a broader campaign of terror intended to silence Arab and Palestinian voices in America. We renew our commitment to securing accountability for his murder and to protecting our communities from the hate and intimidation that persist today. Alex’s vision of dignity, equality, and peace remains our mandate.”

The1985 bombing that killed Odeh occurred amid attacks on ADC offices nationwide, including Boston and Washington D.C.. As the community continues to face rising hate and repression, the banquet underscores ADC’s enduring mission: to dismantle structures of bigotry; defend civil rights; and advance a just peace.
