Demand lawmakers protect Florida’s sovereignty and the rights of Floridians

Right now in Tallahassee, lawmakers are working behind closed doors to expand government power by granting 5 unelected elites unprecedented power to investigate, prosecute, and target Floridians because of their speech and beliefs.

Senate Bill 1632 and Senate Bill 1634 would allow the state to designate individuals and organizations as “terror threats.”

Imagine being labeled a terrorist because of your views on gun rights. Imagine being targeted because of your position on abortion. Imagine that designation being influenced by pressure from a foreign government.

If these bills pass, that scenario becomes possible.

It does not matter what your political views are. When government is given broad, unchecked authority to define and punish “threats,” dissent becomes vulnerable.

Power taken from the people is rarely returned.
