After declaring that Hamas had kidnapped the teens, the Israeli government responded by putting the West Bank under siege, conducting raids of neighborhoods and hailed bombs down on Gaza, notably not anywhere near where the settlers disappeared. Since then 9 people have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces, including 3 youths and a disabled man, thousands were kidnapped (disappeared by Israelis, without trial or information on where they were going), and access to resources was severely limited. Jewish Israelis have taken to social media to call for the eradication of “arab filth” and are cheering on the public torture of Palestinian children at large demonstrations throughout Israel.
