“Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s departure from Congress comes at a moment when courage and political spine are urgently needed and rarely found. Despite our disagreements, she was one of the very few in Congress who actually tried to do what so many only sloganize: put the American people first. While countless politicians have wrapped themselves in “America First” rhetoric, their records show foreign entanglements, blank checks for war, and deference to lobbyists and foreign governments.

As most of the political establishment backs the worst genocide of our time, Rep. Greene has been a rare, relentless voice against Israel’s U.S.-funded extermination of the Palestinian people — a war that has drained tens of billions of dollars from American taxpayers. Her resignation letter exposes what Washington refuses to admit: our government is addicted to foreign wars while American workers drown in debt, soaring costs, and a descending standard of living.

For years, ADC has warned that “forever wars” strip critical resources away from families here at home. Rep. Greene echoed that truth. She understood that endless military subsidies to Israel have produced a reality where Israeli citizens enjoy stronger social benefits and healthcare — paid for, in part, by Americans who can’t afford their own.

Her resignation is a serious loss at a critical moment as authentic, unfiltered voices are pushed out by the very machinery she fought: the war lobby, the donor class, and party operatives who punish anyone who refuses to fall in line. But this moment should be seen less as an ending and more as a new beginning. The convictions in her letter resonate with millions of Americans tired of foreign entanglements, endless spending, and a government that serves everyone but the people who fund it.
