About

Our Legal Department

Since 1980, the ADC Legal Department has advocated for the civil rights of Arab and Muslim Americans during challenging political times. The attacks on our community have escalated with each decade of bad foreign policy that relies on the dehumanization of Arabs and Muslims. Such policies also impact the lives of ordinary Americans who happen to be Arab or Muslim. ADC's Legal Department tracks and responds to allegations of discrimination and civil rights violations by employers, businesses, and government agencies including immigration, law enforcement, K-12 schools, and universities. We partner with other civil rights organizations to represent the needs of our clients through education, advocacy and litigation. Beyond representing individuals, ADC Legal aims to overturn unconstitutional legislation that impacts not only Arab and Muslim Americans, but all who seek to enjoy American freedoms, namely free speech.
