ADC President to Address United Nations

Washington, DC — On Friday, September 5, ADC President Hon. Mary Rose Oakar will address the United Nations‘ “International Conference of Civil Society in Support of the Palestinian People.” ADC President Oakar is scheduled to speak on Friday, September 5 at the “Civil Society and the Road Map” plenary from 10am – 1pm.
This conference will be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York from September 4-5 under the auspices of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian people. The Committee supports the Road Map‘s plan to bring peace to the region on the basis on Security Council Resoultions 242, 338, and 1397. The Committee maintains that the international community has a moral responsibility towards achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the region.
