WASHINGTON, D.C. | The American‑Arab Anti‑Discrimination Committee (ADC) is honored to announce acclaimed Palestinian poet, short‑story writer, and Pulitzer Prize‑winning essayist Mosab Abu Toha will join the speaker lineup at ArabCon 2025, taking place September 25–28 in Dearborn, Michigan.
Abu Toha’s debut collection, Things You May Find Hidden in My Ear, won the Palestine Book Award, the American Book Award, and the Walcott Poetry Prize, and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. His follow‑up, Forest of Noise, was long‑listed for the Dylan Thomas Prize. In 2024 he received an Overseas Press Club Award for his acclaimed Letter from Gaza columns in The New Yorker. Beyond the page, Abu Toha founded the Edward Said Library in Gaza, an institution he is determined to rebuild despite repeated destruction.
“Mosab’s work captures the heartache and hope of Palestine with unflinching honesty and lyrical beauty,” said Abed Ayoub, ADC National Executive Director. “We are honored to welcome him to ArabCon’s stage.”
Now in its 45th year, ADC’s national convention is the largest gathering of Arab Americans in the United States, offering four days of plenaries, cultural showcases, and strategy sessions aimed at uplifting a community that has “been here before”—meeting recurring challenges with steadfast resolve and creative force.
