Both sides have committed acts of violence against unarmed, non-combatant civilians. Over 1000 people have died since September 29, 2000. The violence committed by Israeli forces, however, is far greater than that by Palestinians.
Casualties
Palestinian casualties: 948 Palestinians killed, 17,343 injuries, 67 assassinations. Israeli casualties: 236 Israelis killed, 555 security force injuries, 1723 civilian injuries and the numbers increase every day.
Such acts must be condemned and halted. The UN and the international community should send peacekeeping forces to protect the civilian population.
