As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the journey we have embarked upon together. Today I am reaching out to you as a fellow member of our resilient community. These times have been somber, testing our resolve and our spirit.
This year has been marked by significant challenges. We continue to witness an ongoing genocide in Gaza, with tens of thousands of Palestinians killed – and the number continues to increase. Here at home, the fight to protect our rights and freedoms has been relentless. Every day we are facing new challenges, all with one purpose and objective – to silence our voices, and erase our identity, history, and culture.
Yet, amidst these trials, we have also seen incredible strength and unity. Your unwavering support and commitment to our cause have been the silver lining in these turbulent times. Over the past year ADC has nearly tripled its membership enrollment, a clear sign that there is a need and support on the ground for the organization. As we stand on the brink of 2024, I am filled with a sense of determination and hope. The challenges we face are substantial, but so is our collective power to overcome them.
I will never claim to have all the answers, and grounded enough to understand that the challenges we face can only be overcome by all our collective efforts. I can promise you that in the coming year, ADC will continue to fight tirelessly on your behalf.
