In a couple of days the calendar will change and 2015 will be upon us. In the New Year, the community will continue to face many of the challenges we have faced in years past. • ADC filed an amicus brief in Zivotofsky v. Kerry in defense of Palestinian-Americans’ rights
• ADC filed an amicus brief in EEOC v. Abercrombie in defense of religious attire accommodation in the workplace
• ADC filed federal discrimination lawsuit in defense of Arab-Americans
• ADC requested that the American government redesignate Syria for Temporary Protected Status
• ADC fought against anti-BDS bill
• ADC requested DHS-OIG to investigate “Selectee Passport List”
• ADC advocated for changes to FBI’s Hate Crimes Tracking Form
• ADC developed a civil rights application for smartphones
• ADC addressed the issue of internment camp cases
• ADC partnered with coalition of civil rights groups to advocate for minority voting rights
• ADC launched successful campaign to change racist Arab mascot at Coachella Valley High School
• ADC pushed for the cancellation of ABC Family sitcom “Alice in Arabia”
• ADC partnered with Coca-Cola to promote diversity in Superbowl ad campaign
