Filing Complaints Regarding Voluntary Interviews

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) Legal Department has been tracking the 5000 voluntary interviews of Middle Eastern men nationwide. This plan by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to interview 5000 men based solely on their gender, age, national origin and time of entry into the United States is underway in most parts of the country and is being handled by the U.S Attorneys Office and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). ADC has issued a fact sheet and guidance for those who have been contacted about these interviews. This can be viewed on the ADC website located at https://www.adc.org All complaints by individuals who have been interviewed should be addressed to the ADC Legal Department at legal@adc.org and filed at the following addresses with the DOJ:
Complaints Regarding U.S. Department of Justice Components
Complaints regarding the FBI (e.g., targeted interviews) should be filed with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and/or the FBI‘s Office of Professional Responsibility. Complaints regarding the INS (e.g., conditions of detention) should be filed with the OIG and/or the INS‘s Office of Internal Audit. The OIG has the right of first refusal regarding all such complaints.
