ADC Iftar & Book Launch with Professor Khaled A. Beydoun

Washington, D.C. | March 14, 2023 – We are thrilled to announce the launch of Khaled Beydoun’s highly anticipated new book, “The New Crusades: Islamophobia and the Global War on Muslims.” To celebrate this momentous occasion, we are hosting a special Iftar and book launch event on April 6, 2023, at Eerkin’s Uyghur Cuisine in Washington, D.C.

The Iftar and book launch event will feature Professor Khaled A. Beydoun and Rushan Abbas with Campaign for Uyghurs. Guests will enjoy traditional Uyghur meal to break their fast during the Holy Month of Ramadan and hear from Professor Beydoun and Ms. Abbas.

Khaled Beydoun is a renowned author, lawyer, and professor who has dedicated his career to addressing social justice issues, especially those that affect Muslim Americans. “The New Crusades: Islamophobia and the Global War on Muslims” is his latest work, which explores the growing anti-Muslim sentiment in the United States and worldwide. This timely book is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the current state of Islamophobia and how it impacts our society.

Rushan Abbas is a Uighur-American activist and entrepreneur. She was born in Ürümqi, China, and later moved to the United States. She is the founder and executive director of Campaign for Uyghurs, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the human rights of Uighurs and other Turkic Muslims in China.
