Axis of Evil Comedians to Perform at ADC National Convention

Washington, DC | May 29, 2007 | | The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is happy to announce that the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour will perform at the Annual National Convention as the special Saturday panel. The four comedians (Ahmed Ahmed, Aron Kader, Maz Jobrani, with Dean Obeidallah) have all been featured in national publications, television shows, comedic art festivals and performances across the country. Their comedy espouses what it means to be Arab, Muslim, Iranian and American, with hilarious topics including lighthearted dating to thought provoking politics and more!
This special performance will take place on Saturday, June 9, from 4:45 to 6:00 pm in the Regency Ballroom of the Omni Shoreham Hotel. All are welcome to attend, those wishing to attend only this performance can purchase individual tickets in advance. Tickets for this performance are $20 per person and can be purchased through the online ADC Convention registration form at:
Prior to the special performance the four comedians will participate in a 10:30 to 11:45 am panel discussion facilitated by ADC Communication Director Laila Al-Qatami. The panel, entitled “Creating an Axis of Evil and Making the Watch List” will discuss how each of the comedians has been able to make an impact on the entertainment industry. Tickets to this panel can be purchased for $10 on site. From having their Axis of Evil comedy show featured on Comedy Central to creating the short comedy features known as the “Watch List,” the comedians will discuss what it takes to be an actor, comedian, and producer in Hollywood. All are welcome to attend this panel discussion.
