ADC to Honor Nidhal Garmo with Humanitarian Award at Saturday’s Women’s Empowerment Luncheon

Washington, D.C. | www.adc.org | June 8, 2015 – The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and the Dr. Raymond Jallow Family Foundation are proud to announce that they will honor Nidhal Garmo with the Humanitarian Award.
ADC will present the award to Nidhal Garmo at the annual Women’s Empowerment Luncheon, which will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 12:30PM-2:00PM.
ADC invites you to register for ADC’s 35 Annivesary National Convention and join us in honoring, Nidhal Garmo, Maha Kaddoura and Sahar Aziz at the Women’s Empowerment Luncheon next Saturday in Washington, DC.
About the Awardee:
Nidhal Garmo
Nidhal Garmo is currently the Ambassador of Health for Iraq and Jordan for one of the largest charitable organizations, World Medical Relief.
Nidhal came from an Iraqi family of eight and immigrated to Michigan in 1980. Empathizing with her homeland people, Nidhal started a campaign ten years ago to collect medicine and medical and surgical supplies from other charity organizations. In ten years, Nidhal has travelled to Iraq over 20 times. She spent three months facilitating refugees displaced by ISIS and was able to raise over $20,000 through Facebook for them.
