ADC Summer 2023 Internship Opportunities!

Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students or recent graduates who have an understanding of ADC, the community we serve and the issues that affect Arab Americans. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is passionate about nonprofit work, social justice and Arab American culture. National Organizing: Interns will be working with the ADC National Organizer on tasks such as chapter work, event planning and organizing online informational webinars. ADC has been expanding to different cities and opening chapters where there are Arab American communities interested in joining ADC. Come help us connect more Arab Americans across the country!

Policy Department: Interns will be working with the ADC Government Affairs and Advocacy Director on issues relating to legislation such as drafting statements and releases. Interns will also be diving into legislation and federal regulation, preparing advocacy campaigns, and developing briefings for a variety of audiences on topics ranging from homeland security to gaps in federal data collection.

Legal Department: Legal associates are responsible for conducting the legal intake when people report an incident to ADC over the phone or online. They also conduct phone interviews with clients to help determine the facts and legal matters of each case. They are responsible for their own cases under the direct supervision of the ADC attorneys. Cases can involve employment discrimination, airline discrimination, educational discrimination, hate crimes, immigration, and freedom of speech. They will also assist with the research and writing of ADC amicus briefs in high profile cases, including cases before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Communications/Social Media: Interns will be working with the Communications & Social Media Coordinator on tasks such as designing and regularly scheduling social media posts with the communications coordinator as well as compiling a bimonthly newsletter. The newsletter will include ADC updates, event information and invitations, highlights on Arab Americans, cultural tidbits and more!
