ADC Saddened by Humanitarian Crisis in Haiti

Washington, D.C. | January 14, 2010 | www.adc.org | The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) sends our deepest sympathies to the people of Haiti in light of this recent tragedy.

As you already know, a devastating earthquake, registering a magnitude of 7.0, struck the Island of Haiti on Tuesday, January 12th. The death toll is now estimated to exceed 100,000 people, and it is feared that the actual number may be higher. The hospitals that were not flattened by the earthquake are overrun with patients in desperate need of medical attention. Many of the survivors have been rendered homeless, with no food to eat or potable water to drink. The devastation in Haiti is unimaginable.

We urge you to help in anyway you can in the Haitian relief effort.
