Washington, DC — Today the Senate Judiciary Committee convenes hearings on warrantless domestic wiretapping by the National Security Agency. Last week the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC,) along with forty other organizations from across the political spectrum, sent letters to Congress urging them to use their authority to conduct a thorough and comprehensive inquiry that will assure the American people that the surveillance practices carried out by our government protect our national security in a manner consistent with the Bill of Rights and the rule of law.
