Development Director
The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) remains committed to protecting and advocating for the rights of the Arab American community. Now, more than ever, our work has never been more needed, as we confront the pressing challenges of rising hate and discrimination that demand a robust legal and policy response, along with strong financial capacity to sustain this fight for justice.
It is with urgency that we announce a crucial job opening within our organization – the position of Development Director. This role is essential to our long-term sustainability and ability to scale our legal, advocacy, and cultural work nationwide.
Duties would include:
- Lead ADC’s national fundraising strategy, including major gifts, grants, and donor cultivation
- Develop and manage annual fundraising campaigns and events
- Maintain and expand relationships with individual donors and institutional partners
- Oversee donor database and ensure accurate tracking of contributions
- Work closely with the Executive Director and Board to meet annual development goals
- Draft proposals, reports, and appeal letters for foundations and donors
- Develop donor communications and materials with the communications team
- Identify and research prospective funders
- Coordinate fundraising logistics for ADC’s annual convention and other events
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred
- Minimum of 5 years professional fundraising experience, ideally in a nonprofit or civil rights setting
- Demonstrated success with major donor cultivation and grant writing
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with donor database systems and reporting
